Who the NSPCC are
This site is operated by or on behalf of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). We are the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children.
We have been protecting children from abuse for over 130 years. We are the only children's charity in the UK with statutory powers enabling it to act to safeguard children at risk. Our registered charity numbers are 216401 in England and Wales and SC037717 in Scotland.
The site is not available to minors. You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to use this site.
Access to this site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on this site without notice.
From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of this site to users who have registered with us.
Changes to the Site
From time to time we are likely to update sections of this site. However, at any given time any of the content or information on this site may be out of date and we are under no obligation to update that content or information.
If the need arises, we may suspend access to or close indefinitely part or the whole of this site. We will not be liable if for any reason this site is unavailable for any time at any period.
Uploading Material and Contacting Other Users
Whenever you upload material or post comments on this site, you must comply with our Tribute Website House Rules. You promise that you will comply with the Tribute Website House Rules and you agree to compensate us for any loss we suffer if you fail to comply with them. We may remove, or refuse to allow any material or posting you make on the Tribute Website if, in our opinion, such material does not comply with the House Rules, is offensive, obscene, defamatory, or misleading.
If you create a tribute fund or event fund page, you shall ensure that the content you upload, in particular any photograph, does not infringe any copyright, database right, or trade mark.
We have the right to disclose your identity to anyone else claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to this site violates their intellectual property rights or their right to privacy. We will not be responsible, or liable to anyone else for the content or accuracy of any materials posted by you or any other users of this site.
User Registration and managing your account
You must register on the Tribute Website if you wish to create a tribute fund or event fund.
You may also register on the site to make a donation and/or upload content. By doing this your details will be saved, making similar future actions quicker.
Before creating a tribute or event fund we strongly recommend that you gain permission from the family of the person you would like to create a fund in memory of.
Once registered on the site you will receive a confirmation email and be able to log into the ‘My Account’ section of the site. Within the My Account section, you can update your tribute and/or event fund page and change your contact details as well as your password. If you would like to change your contact preferences then please contact email@example.com.
Only the creator of the tribute or event fund can edit the details displayed on their tribute or event fund on the Tribute Website.
The creator of the tribute or event fund can choose which notifications they receive for actions taken by other users on their fund. These notification options are displayed during the creation of a tribute or event fund and can be edited at any time within the Manage Account section of the Tribute Website.
Single card donations are processed through an in-house software solution provided by Verifone. For more information on Verifone you can visit http://www.verifone.co.uk/.
Regular gifts can be set up by Direct Debit.
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in this site and in the material published on it. No part of this site, including information, documents, images, photos, logos, names, audio, video and icons may be copied, republished, posted, broadcast or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior written permission of the copyright holders. All such rights are reserved and protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world.
